ctrlX CORE

Nowadays, automation means software development. The high-performance and communication-ready control platform ctrlX CORE provides the basis for this. With the scalable industrial control system, Bosch Rexroth has set new standards in the field of automation technology. The ctrlX CORE runs the real-time, Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS. It stands for maximum openness and gives users access to the entire ecosystem initiated by ctrlX AUTOMATION. Due to its open and hardware-independent architecture, the control platform ctrlX CORE overcomes the boundaries between the embedded system and drive-based technology platforms.

The open software architecture with flexible app technology allows developers to act completely freely: They can select the apps they need or use any open-source software. It is also possible to run self-developed software on the open control platform. Furthermore, functions in all common programming languages can be converted into apps, made available via the ctrlX Store and operated on the ctrlX CORE.

ctrlX SAFETY

Safe automation completely redefined: ctrlX SAFETY is the most compact safety solution of its kind and has the fastest reaction times. The compact yet scalable system can be used as required – from the drive-integrated SafeMotion solution in ctrlX DRIVE to the complete ctrlX SAFETY control system. In addition to flexible use, the advantages include a very high level of safety and efficient engineering through graphical programming of the safety PLC.

ctrlX SAFETY uses open standards and offers secure connectivity at all levels as well as fast and versatile selection of safety functions. The solution is based on two components that can be used stand-alone or as a complete system - the bundle results in the fastest and most compact safety solution on the market. Due to the shortened response times, the design of machines with the smallest installation space is possible.

ctrlX IPC

Demanding process controls and technologies such as edge computing require high performance reserves. ctrlX IPC provides these flexibly and scalably - even for high-end applications. The industrial PCs can draw on the app-based engineering of ctrlX AUTOMATION and can also be combined with ctrlX HMI. Thanks to a wide range of expansion options as well as numerous interfaces, the IPCs can be tailored precisely to the needs of the clientele. Standard components or third-party open source software offer additional flexibility and freedom.
